Hulk Hogan was an American professional wrestler whose career included the WWE, formerly known as the WWF, and World Championship Wrestling, or WCW.

Outside wrestling, Hogan starred with his family in the reality television series Hogan Knows Best, which ran from 2005 to 2007.
History and changes
Hogan, whose full name was Terry Gene Bollea, died on July 24, 2025.
In 1996, while wrestling for WCW, Hogan adopted the darker ring persona Hollywood Hogan. The change followed his move to WCW in 1994.
In 1984, Hogan defeated the Iron Sheik to become the WWF World Heavyweight Champion.
Hogan returned to WWE in 2002 after his years with WCW.
Background and related concepts
During the 1980s, Hogan became one of WWE's most popular figures, known for his flamboyant presentation and the fan following called “Hulkamania.”
