Agreement and eligibility

These terms govern public news, accounts, reactions, saves, comments, reports and inquiries. Joining creates a service agreement. Public reading does not require an account. Member services are for users aged 14 or older. The service is currently free.

Accounts

Users sign in with an accurate Google account, must protect access to it, and may not transfer or share an account. FactSnap never collects or stores the Google password. Suspected unauthorized use should be reported promptly.

News service

FactSnap uses automated selection, writing and verification. It applies source and safety checks but cannot promise that every item is complete, uninterrupted or current at all times. Confirm linked official sources and qualified advice before medical, legal, financial, investment or safety decisions. Review fixtures are not live data.

User content

Users retain rights in their comments and inquiries. Posting a comment grants FactSnap a non-exclusive permission to store, display, transmit, format, back up and moderate it only as needed to operate the service. Comments are public with the display name. Users must have the necessary rights and must not post unlawful, infringing, private, abusive, deceptive, spam or malicious content.

Prohibited use

• Disrupting security or operation, exploiting vulnerabilities, sending malware, excessive traffic or abusive automation.
• Manipulating sign-in, reactions, comments, reports, metrics, rankings or Turnstile.
• Impersonating others, trading accounts, or collecting or disclosing personal data without authority.
• Removing attribution to misrepresent FactSnap as a publisher’s original, or bulk-copying and redistributing the service beyond permitted quotation and linking.
• Violating law or third-party copyright, trademark, reputation, privacy or other rights.

Moderation and restrictions

Automated risk or report thresholds may hold or temporarily hide comments. FactSnap may restore or remove content and suspend accounts after review. Urgent rights or security risks may be restricted before notice. Users may appeal or request review through service contact channels.

Changes and availability

Features may change or pause for security, maintenance, outages, law, provider changes or operational needs. Foreseeable material changes will be announced in advance; urgent protection and recovery may come first. Reasonable notice will be provided before ending the entire service.

Intellectual property and links

FactSnap’s original expression, editorial arrangement, brand, interface and software belong to the operator or lawful rightsholders; facts themselves do not. Personal reading, ordinary linking and lawful quotation are permitted. External sources remain subject to their owners’ rights and policies, and a link does not guarantee all external content.

Deletion and termination

Users may delete their account at any time. Account data, reactions, saves and preferences are deleted or anonymized under the Privacy Notice; comments and necessary moderation records may remain under a former-user label for conversation and dispute handling. Material or repeated breaches may lead to restriction or termination.

Liability

FactSnap remains responsible for intentional or grossly negligent harm and for liability that law does not permit it to exclude. Liability may be limited where loss results from the user, unforeseeable networks or third-party outages, disasters or events outside reasonable control. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

Updates and disputes

Ordinary changes are announced at least 7 days before taking effect, and materially adverse changes ordinarily at least 30 days before. Renewed consent is requested where required. Korean law applies, and unresolved disputes are handled by the court with jurisdiction under applicable procedural law.
