Singer Soyou bought a residential property in Oksu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, entirely in cash using proceeds from selling Samsung Electronics and SK hynix shares she had held for about 10 years.

The property Soyou purchased is at Oksu Remetige. She reportedly paid a little over 3 billion won in cash in March this year for a lower-floor unit with 244 square meters of exclusive-use area; the apartment complex was completed in 2004 and consists mainly of large units.

After buying the home, she remodeled its interior over several months. It reportedly includes two large dressing rooms, a home gym for personal exercise and a private sauna.

The financing combined gains from the stock sale with Soyou's own funds. Together, they covered the purchase price, acquisition tax and interior renovation costs, all paid in cash.
