Busan has finalized an implementation plan for 122 pledge projects, marking 100 days since the launch of its ninth elected administration. Total costs for the projects included in the plan amount to 35 trillion 525 billion won.

The pledge projects comprise 82 new projects and 40 continuing projects. The city plans to complete or achieve the main targets of 95 projects, representing 77.9% of the total, during the administration's term.

Total project costs are estimated at 35 trillion 525 billion won, with 17 trillion 996.5 billion won to be invested during the ninth elected administration's term. Expected funding requirements include 18 trillion 809.2 billion won from the national government and 3 trillion 210.7 billion won from the city, among other sources.

The implementation plan is based on pledge proposals presented in June by the 'Busan Running Again Committee.' The plan was developed through a review of those proposals by a pledge advisory and evaluation panel.

Projects to be pursued in the maritime capital category include relocating maritime public institutions and opening Gadeokdo New Airport on schedule. Establishing a maritime artificial intelligence (AI) data center is also being pursued.

The city is to release the pledge implementation plan on its website that day, the 100th day of the ninth elected administration. It plans to publish the final pledge implementation document after citizen jury deliberations by the end of the year.
