2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony scheduled for Monday at London Palladium

The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony is scheduled to take place this Monday at the London Palladium.

Kane scored 36 goals last season to become the Bundesliga's top scorer for the third consecutive year. He also won his second European Golden Shoe, finishing nine goals ahead of Manchester City's Erling Haaland in the European scoring race.

The Bayern Munich forward lifted three trophies in the 2025-26 season. He won the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal, the German Cup, and the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, the German Supercup.

Bayern produced a video in which teammates said their leader should win the award. The club lent its support by featuring their endorsements in the video.

If Kane wins the Ballon d'Or, he will become the fifth English player to receive it. The previous English winners are Stanley Matthews, Bobby Charlton, Kevin Keegan and Michael Owen.
