Georgia RNC member's group organizes anti-data center bus tour
Humans First, chaired by Georgia RNC committeewoman Amy Kremer, is organizing the AI Data Center Revolt bus tour.
Humans First, a group focused on artificial intelligence risks, is organizing an anti-data center bus tour called AI Data Center Revolt. Its chair, pro-Trump activist Amy Kremer, is listed as a Georgia RNC committeewoman.
The planned route includes Texas, Ohio, Iowa, Georgia and North Carolina. Those states are considered crucial to Republican efforts to keep control of the Senate in November.
The tour is set to launch at this week's Republican National Convention in Dallas, Texas. Its launch is timed to coincide with Trump's trip to the convention.
Kremer said her opposition to data centers does not change her support for Trump, describing herself in a statement as a steadfast supporter of the president.
In explaining her position, she argued that decisions about building data centers belong at the local level, rather than with the White House or Congress.
