The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are scheduled to open the NFL's 2026-27 season at 8:20 p.m. EDT in Seattle. The game at Lumen Field will be televised on NBC and streamed on Peacock.
The matchup begins a Week 1 schedule of 16 games and reunites the teams from Super Bowl LX. Macdonald led the Seahawks to a 29-13 victory over the Patriots in that game on February 8 in Santa Clara, California.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye said his team needed to prepare for a difficult road environment. He described the Seahawks as well coached and praised their players ahead of the meeting.
Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold said the Patriots matchup presented a challenge, while expressing excitement about football's return. He said he was ready to get started.
